Wondering what is a Designer Day? A Designer Day (called trunk show in America) is a special event at a bridal boutique, essentially it’s a collaboration between a bridal designer and a boutique. The boutique invites a bridal designer to showcase their full collection of wedding dresses (or sometimes, multiple collections) for a day or a number of days. This provides brides-to-be with an opportunity to view and try on wedding dresses that are not normally available in the boutique, or even the country!
A Designer Weekend is when a bridal salon has a more complete or full range of gown samples on hand from a specific bridal designer. Styles can often be purchased at a discount if they are purchased during this event and gives brides-to-be an opportunity to try on a broader range of styles from the brand. The collection will likely include the newest styles fresh from the runways of Bridal Fashion Week.
